On Sunday, October 6, on the occasion of World Animal Day , we organized the event "petchef in the park" at the beautiful Dog Park of Allos Holargos, and we would like to express a big thank you to all of you who honored us with your presence!
The love and concern you showed for your beloved four-legged friends gave a special vitality to the day. Thanks to you, the event evolved into a celebration dedicated to the health , nutrition and well-being of our dogs.
Every part of the day was filled with smiles, play and interesting conversations. We saw dogs of all sizes and ages enjoying our freshly cooked recipes and carefully prepared treats , and the response we received filled us with joy and motivation to continue offering the best for our little friends.
The Hellenic Red Cross played an important role in "petchef in the park" , and its team showed the public how to provide First Aid to Dogs in various emergency situations of everyday life, with the main criterion being the safety of both the guardian and the dog. They also provided information on how to recognize situations that directly threaten a dog's life (loss of consciousness, cardiorespiratory arrest, airway obstruction, major bleeding), and to respond promptly and effectively.
At the same time, Plus2Feet informed the attendees about animal wheelchairs and how they can improve the quality of life of animals with mobility problems. We actively support Plus2Feet by donating wheelchairs from time to time or by financially supporting the company's efforts with the possibility of donating through our platform.
Part of "petchef in the park" was the Adoption Day of the Papagou Cholargou Animal Welfare Volunteer Action , with former stray dogs that reside in the Municipality of Papagou Cholargou and are up for adoption.
Help Horses Ymittou informed visitors of "petchef in the park" about its important work in caring for and rescuing horses. The non-profit organization's goal is to rescue the approximately 100 unattended horses living on the outskirts of Ymittou, malnourished, injured and in completely unsuitable conditions.
Olga from The Dog Project photographed the beautiful moments, capturing happy dogs and the day's activities.
We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did and we look forward to seeing you again at the next "petchef in the park" ! Stay tuned for more surprises and events that will continue to bring joy to our dogs and to you!
